Our inquiry groups got together and wrote a list of words to describe our Olympics Inquiry unit. Here is what we came up with...

During Term 3 we were learning about different Olympic events. Room 15 and 17 got together and thought about different sports we could find out more about. We got into groups of 5 or 6 people and went to work thinking of 'juicy questions' to ask. This was the most difficult part of all. Then we looked for the answers using the library and COWs. Everyone in our groups worked together to publish what we found out. Here are some of the different presentations we made. How do you think we went? What  advice can offer us so we can improve for future projects?

We are learning how to use keynote to make ebooks. First we got into small groups and decided what our story would be about. Next we drew a picture and wrote a sentence about it. After that we took a photo of our picture and uploaded it to the computer. We recorded our voices reading our sentence on Garage Band and added this to the pictures. Our next step is to type the words in instead of writing them. What do you think of our first attempt at a group story?
We can see that we need to edit our writing for spelling and punctuation before we publish it. Do you have any other suggestions on how we can improve our book writing skills?

We read the book "How to Handle a Vivid Imagination" and then used our imaginations to complete the story. This is our first time using Keynote to make a book.

Welcome to Room 15. We are a Year 2 and 3 class with 26 amazing children. Our teacher is Mrs East. We look forward to sharing our exciting year and all our achievements with you in 2011. :-)

On Thursday 11th March Room 15 went on a trip to the Sky Tower. We had a great day and found out that some people don't like heights! We hope you like our photos.

Our weekly story.

We have recently finished reading this Roald Dahl story. It is a very funny, imaginative story that we all enjoyed. Everyone in Room 15 recommends this story to other readers.
